  Compared to 'other' companies like Anaconda, Mainpeak and even Mountain Designs, Kathmandu's customer focus service seems to be lacking and definitely staff training needs improving. Sadly, we have also noticed this at other Kathmandu stores around WA also. by Andrew & Jenny

  Hmmm, well this was an interesting experience (again). Yes we all agree - it's in a good location, but each and every time that we have been in this Kathmandu shop (every time!) the place is empty...we were the only customers in the store. The young staff member was just reading the newspaper and then texting on her mobile. Not once did she even look at us ar even ask us 'if' we needed any help (not once). She couldn't even be bothered coming over to chat with us or ask if we needed any in particular.

  "Overpriced Items & Very Strange Customer Service"

  What an incredibly bad experience that turned out to be. We looked at several items that all seemed way too overpriced, compared to 'other' outdoor gear retailers, so once again we left the shop, not even sure 'if' the sales staff saw us leave. To us, Kathmandu's customer service 'training' seemed to be very poor on each of these occasions (not just one visit).
