  Had the most upsetting and unpleasant shopping experience at Aldi Joondalup this morning. On entering the store I asked my teen son to pick up a block of beer for me and put it in the trolley as I am unable to lift heavy items due to an operation. We went to the teller at lane 5 and before she even greeted us she proceeded to say that she witnessed my son picking up the beer and putting it in the trolley, yes I replied I asked him to. The rude teller then proceeded to ask my son for identification!!! Words flew between us and the teller called the manager, who listened to her whiny story and walked away. Who gives the teller the right to override my authority as a parent and intimidate my son. There is no liquor law in Australia that states a teen son is not allowed to help his Mother. The gentleman behind me also agreed that this teller had overstepped her authority. No matter how cheap your Alcohol is Aldi you can keep the stuff. I will rather pay more and not have a stupid teller thinking she is the Australian Liquor Law on two feet.

  The worse customer service. Have been to other stores and they are much better. Don't drop the standard ALDI.

  Something has to be done about buying alcohol only on Isle 5 - This is silly. At the very least better signage stating alcohol purchases only and not customers looking to buy all there weekly shopping too! A good store nevertheless at great value.
